WE WILL DEVOTE OURSELVES TO PRAYER AND TO THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD.
Christian tradition emphasizes the idea of discipleship — another word for learning. We come together on Sundays and many days throughout the week to learn and participate in the life of our church.
Ultimately, all our learning should help us learn from Jesus, who shows us by his own life and example what it means to be fully human. Our tradition holds that learning is for everyone: children, youth, parents, adults, men, women, singles, families: we are created for curiosity and discovery, and placed in a world that challenges and inspires us.
By committing ourselves to a path of learning and practice in community, keeping our eye on Jesus, we grow and develop into our full humanity.
The fruit of our effort is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5.22-23)
