Winter Nights

Winter Nights: December 11 – 18

Making a difference for that one…. with God’s help

The Winter Nights homeless shelter for families with children will open October 6 and is being hosted by faith communities around the area. Keep them in your prayers.

St Stephen’s will again partner with St. John Vianney’s Catholic Church in Walnut Creek to serve for a week at their church.  This year we were assigned a very early week, December 11 – 18, 2017 .  So close to Christmas, it will definitely be a test of our generosity of time and spirit to help these families at such a special season of the year.

Ann Lawrence, Andie Sheets and Dan Swander are coordinating our efforts this year.  They will be asking for your help to staff a wide range of essential jobs: homework helpers, morning cleaners, front desk monitors, overnight sleepers, weekend activity folks, meal planners and kitchen help, etc.

Sign Ups
Look for Sign Ups in early November when we have a better feel for the number of families and the ages of the kids who are in the shelter at that time.
