Lenten Evensong, Men’s Retreat & Camp

It is time to look at the calendar and sign up for 3 upcoming events at or with St. Stephen’s. Invite family, friends or neighbors!

Lenten Choral Evensong
      March 4 at 5pm
Choral Evensong is a traditional form of worship in the Episcopal and Anglican tradition. Based on the daily service of Evening Prayer, Evensong includes readings, hymns, canticles, and prayers for the season, for the day, and for the end of the day. Choral anthems enrich our experience of prayer as we listen for God’s voice speaking to us through music, scripture, prayer, and silence. Join us after the service for a simple soup supper and reception in the parish hall. Food will be provided, BYOB. Join us!

St Stephen’s Men’s Retreat
      March 2–4, St Dorothy’s Rest
All men of St Stephen’s are invited to spend a weekend in the Redwoods, gathering for fellowship, food, free time, and to explore in depth our shared life of faith. The Men’s Group meets for conversation the third Saturday of every month, and we have been reading and reflecting on THE BOOK OF JOY, conversations between Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama. This year’s Men’s Retreat will continue building on themes and discussions drawn from this book. Space is limited! Contact Rev Steve to inquire about reservations (scholarships are available).
