Go Take a Hike
Would you like to (literally) take a step further in deepening your love of protecting earth’s blessings with your faith? Holy Hikes, lead by Rev. Justin Cannon of St. Giles church in Moraga, offers beautiful hikes, highlighted by an outdoor eucharist, generally on the fourth Saturday of the month at 10:00am. See Holy Hikes Facebook page for details and info about future hikes.
Faith in Action: Caring for Creation
World leaders took a huge step toward mitigating climate change at the recent Paris. Of the many attendees was Rev. Canon Sally Bingham, our diocesan Canon for the Environment, who presented a list of 4,5000 congregations and individuals from across the U.S. who took The Paris Pledge pledging to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The focus of the Caring for Creation group is to actively support the goals outlined in the Covenant of California Interfaith Power & Light (CIPL) of which St. Stephen’s is a member. Upon joining CIPL, St. Stephen’s pledged to pursue one or more of the following goals:
All are welcome to come and help keep the gardens of St. Stephen’s beautiful. We come together on the Second Tuesday of EVERY month from 9-11am. We do a little work and have a lot of fun! Ann Lawrence: 299-2608
The men meet one Saturday morning each month. This is an informal group that will meet over coffee, from 8-9:30 a.m., to talk about issues of the day, the spiritual life, etc. Check the Sunday Paper or the Church Calendar for the meeting dates.
