Sunday, May 27th!
The Day of Pentecost is May 27th this year. Be sure and wear something red. It will also be Sports and Shorts Sunday so enjoy some lunch after the 10:00 service. We will have a bounce house for the kids.
Annual clothing drive is under way!
St. Stephens’ annual clothing collection for Wardrobe for Opportunity, Henry Ohlhoff House and Bay Area Crisis Nursery will begin on Sunday, April 29. Please bring gently used clothes, suitable for interviews and jobs, for both men and women. Clothes should be clean and on hangers. We are also looking for clothing for children starting at size 2T through teen clothes. We also accept shoes, purses, jewelry, and accessories. In addition, this year we are seeking small toiletry items, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.Items can be dropped off on the stage in the Parish Hall now through May 20. This has been a very successful ministry for St. Stephen’s and we ask once again that you look at your wardrobe for quality items you rarely wear as well as those you no longer need.

Bible Study and Brown Bag Lunch
You bring a brown bag lunch and your Bible to participate in a study of Exodus. We meet the Second & Fourth Mondays of every month from 12:15 pm to 2:00 pm. in the St. Stephen’s Library. We relate the bible to our contemporary lives asking the question: Learning through this study, how are we to live our lives? All are welcome! If you have any questions, contact Rev. St. Stephen’s Knit and Crochet Fellowship
Do you love to knit or crochet? Do you want to learn? Do you want to improve your skills? Come share our love for yarn arts at 7:30pm in the church library with the St. Stephen’s Knit and Crochet Fellowship. Everyone is welcome to come any month they are available. The meetings are scheduled for the first Monday or Tuesday of the month. The 2012 schedule: June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4. Have questions? Interfaith Blood Drive coming in July
Last year a most dramatic, even historic response by the Interfaith Community resulted in more than 1,700 units of blood donated during the month of July. This year, St. Stephen’s has been invited to join in the efforts. More information with exact date in July for the Lamorinda area. This year, the blood drive will be bigger and more ambitious with more than 80 blood drives from Ukiah to Monterey hosting thousands of participants in an act of unprecedented love, community and service. Together with the Interfaith Blood Drive we hope many of you will roll up our sleeves to save lives.
Loaves & Fishes
The group does not have a dining room to serve lunches and instead “chops and chats” at the Pittsburg catering kitchen from 9 a.m. to noon. Carpool from St. Stephen’s parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Interested helpers please call Liz Jewell at 254-2789.
